Our Munns on the Move

Rats!

That’s my first thought every time I think about our Divisional Commanders’ (Rick and Janet Munn) recently announced move.

Rats!

After only 6 years (we’ve been in Northern New England with them for 5 years), it’s hard to let them go (as if we have any choice!). I think what saddens me the most is that they were making huge strides in the spiritual level of our division. They were training warriors and teaching our soldiers to fight with the best of them! The NNE division has become known as a place of power and prayer. We live in the fullness of Christ! Why must "The Army" often encourage such success with a promotion to a desk job in administration?

I believe real change in this Army comes about from the grass roots up. I have rarely seen lasting changes come from above and trickle down. Hence my concern. I hope we don’t lose powerful world-changers to plentiful paperwork!

Well NNE, let’s praise God for our last 6 years of Godly leadership. Let’s send the Munns off with our blessing and continue to pray God will anoint them for even higher levels of effective ministry in his kingdom.

And let’s now begin to pray for our new leaders (Dave & Naomi Kelly). They have huge shoes to fill and will need every ounce of humility (from God) and prayer support (from us) they can get. Let’s give them everything we can.

Bless our leaders; bless our leaders. Send them where they ought to go. (TSA Songbook)

YOU DONT KNOW MEEEeeee said...

i choose to believe that god has his hands in moves. so that we can only experience good things in them, and that he knows what hes doing. i could do a lot of finger pointing with the army- as could most officers and their children- but i figure, we're a movement of god, he must have some control. otherwise, id have to quit.
