I needed that this morning! There are times when you begin to feel like nothing you do really matters anyway. Then God leads you to this verse and reminds you that even though you don't always see the results of your work, there are results! In fact, nothing done for God is useless. Coolest!
You see, we're always walking forward; looking ahead (so we don't trip or fall). Most results show up behind us after we've moved on to the next thing. Why not take a brief break today? Stop looking forward for a few and look back. Can you see all the fruit growing along the path right where you've been walking? That's it- right there! See the results? Nothing was useless!
O Lord, allow those reading this today to see their fruit. Give them the blessing of open eyes to their impact on the world around them.

I needed that today also! Just to sit by the stream for awhile and be grateful, watching the flow pass by! God HAS done more than we can ask or imagine; just remembering some of what God has done for me warms my heart.

Thank you for wriitng this. I have been struggling with much lately...personal, family, corps, and DHQ...and it seems to be connected. I have even had trouble praying. That verse helped to pray today, for the first time in a couple weeks.
